Air Balancing
Experience
- Design and cost responsibility for over 200 dust,
oil mist, and fume control systems. Airflows ranged
in size up to 1,450,000 CFM including all types of industry
- chemicals, soaps, paper, foundries, primary metals,
and metal fabrication.
- Designed the first lead brass foundry
ventilation system to meet the 50 µg/m3 dust levels
for organic lead, lowering plant levels from an average
of over 250 µg/m3.
- Designed sophisticated dust control
system for the removal of organic lead from mixing and
blending facilities at a high tech optical glass fabricating
facility, including special humidity controls and HVAC
interface.
- Provided detailed study of alternate Oil Mist
Control Systems for top-secret submarine machining operation.
- Designed sophisticated control operation for secondary
melting of brass to remove Silicon. System
included a 450 HP scrubber unit (DP » 50" w.g.),
200,000 CFM baghouse and water treatment facility.
- Designed
spray cooler (12' diameter x 80' high) to condense arsenic
gasses from glass furnace emissions and collect at present
system baghouse.
- Provided life-cycle cost study and analysis
of alternate Oil Mist Control Systems at mid-west Transmission
facility.
