Registration, Cancellation, Refund and
Classroom Policies

You must register for all courses online by clicking on the "Register" link on each course description page.

After you have registered, you will be sent a confirmation letter with details of class location, times etc. All courses will be presented in Chapel Hill, NC, unless advertised otherwise. Course schedules are subject to change.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first served basis since space is limited in most classes. To ensure your place, please register as soon as possible.

Registration Fees

Registration fees must be paid prior to the first day of the course.  Course fees must be paid before you will be permitted to attend a course.

Payment can be made by a check in US Funds made payable to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, or VISA or Mastercard. Credit cards will be charged at the time the registrations are received. Payment by American Express cannot be accepted.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

All cancellations must be in writing. Cancellations by telephone will not be accepted. A $75 administrative fee will be charged for ALL cancellations and transfers.

No shows and cancellations received less than 7 business days before the course start date will be invoiced for the full amount of the course fee(s). NC OSHERC reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason in which case the full enrollment fee shall be returned to the registrant. NC OSHERC will not be responsible for non refundable reservations if courses are canceled.

Audio and Visual Recording Policy

No audio and/or video recording of any class presentations, lectures or demonstrations is permitted.  This includes, but is not limited to, tape recorders camcorders and cell phones.


Acceptance to programs offered by UNC-CH is without regard to race, sex, national origin, color, religion, handicap, age, or veteran's status.
