|Technician Certificate Program Elective|
This 2 ½ day course challenges students to examine the status of their current safety program and culture and consider some fresh and challenging perspectives to establish and/or strengthen the organization’s safety culture. The methods demonstrated are simple and have been proven to be effective in many world class organizations. Through interactive discussions using real world examples participants will learn how accountability and consistency are vital components to any successful Safety program. The key elements for setting up a Safety Certification Program that is tailored to meet the needs of an organization is also included in this course.

With over 28 years of combined EHS experience in both the private sector and local government, plus the completion of all three University of North Carolina Technician Certificate programs, Berry brings his experience and training tactics to the UNC continuing education program. As a working musician (drummer) and biker (Harley man), he has a great respect for safety both on and off the job. His purpose and passion for this course is that what he shares will encourage others to be the leader they were born to be and work safe.
