This 5-day course provides a comprehensive discussion of the practices and procedures used in asbestos abatement projects. It is designed to meet the OSHA requirement for a "competent person" and the EPA requirement for an "accredited supervisor" to supervise asbestos abatement projects.

An EPA approved course for those supervising asbestos abatement projects as required by AHERA. Includes techniques on set-up, sampling, respiratory protection and other key aspects to assist in understanding the principles and practices of worker health and safety in asbestos-related work.

This course is an EPA-approved course and is approved by the State of North Carolina. If you are involved in asbestos abatement outside North Carolina, please check with that state to verify this University of North Carolina course will be accepted in that state.
