This course provides the practicing occupational
safety and health professional with a basic understanding
of risk assessment principles. Fundamental
assessment techniques for engineering and health
risks will be covered. The course uses a
hands-on approach practicing risk assessment techniques
for several scenarios. This is an introductory
course. Students should bring a calculator
and be comfortable using it. Math Review and Use of Scientific Calculator is suggested and will be presented at the Marriott Norfolk Waterside on Sunday, August 3.
